Meet Our Clinicians
John Moyd, Owner, CPO
John is a Hartsville native. He has a degree in Psychology from Wofford College and received his prosthetic and orthotic education at Northwestern University in Chicago. He completed residencies at the University of Virginia in Charlottesvile, and Newington Children’s Hospital in Connecticut (now part of Hartford Hospital.) He also taught at the University of Connecticut. John can answer questions about prosthetic comfort and clinical care, as well as componentry selection.
Andy Krawiec, CPO
Originally from Cheshire, Connecticut, Andy received his undergraduate degree from the University of Connecticut, where he studied Biomechanics. Post-graduate studies were at Newington. Andy’s thesis paper was a study on the biomechanical impact on women by high heel shoes. Andy is a golfer and a sports-oriented player. He brings concern, efficiency and education to the table. He is also well versed in physician and community relations and likes to discuss in detail rehab strategies with you.
Kylie Hinton, CPO
Kylie is from Florence, SC and earned her undergraduate degree from Clemson University in Health Sciences with a concentration in health promotion and education. She then received her master’s degree in prosthetics and orthotics from Northwestern University and completed her dual residency in prosthetics and orthotics at Palmetto P&O in November of 2017. She became an American Board Certified prosthetist/ orthotist in July 2018. She enjoys working with and serving the people of her hometown and enjoys seeing her patients progress once they have received their prosthesis or orthosis.
Steve Gilreath, CFO
Originally from Shelby, NC, Steve became interested in working in the orthotic and prosthetic fields by his orthotist. Steve is also an orthotic patient, having a disorder called Charcot Marie Tooth disease. He has worn AFO’s since he was 8 years old. He was first employed by COAL clinics in Charlotte, NC where he was department head of prosthetics. He was there for 4 years. Then Steve broadened his studies and went to work for an innovative company in Asheville, NC where he worked and continued his education for 5 years. He has been working for Palmetto P&O since July 2000. He is an avid golfer, loves fishing and riding his motorcycle. Steve works hand in hand with orthotist on staff as well as local therapist. He specializes in the field of Orthotics and can answer any question the patient may have about their orthotic care.
Gary Flowers, C.Ped., CFo
Gary is our ABC accredited Pedorthotist as well as Certified fitter of
Orthotics.
Daniel Watford, Amputee Liaison
Originally from San Fernando, California, Daniel moved to Florence at the age of 9. He helps new patients understand and adapt after losing a limb, as he lost his leg in 2017. Daniel also volunteers as a Chaplin at McLeod Hospital.
